Music Ministry

Music is a fun and important ministry of any church, and there are many opportunities for people to add their talents to enhance our liturgies.  In addition to our choirs we encourage and train cantors and we welcome accomplished instrumentalists of all ages. New members are invited at all times throughout the year. In addition to our regular liturgies, we also offer choir camp for children and teens, and special workshops for singers of all ages. Our music program is under the direction of Krzysztof Kowalewski.

REHEARSALS ARE HELD ON WEDNESDAYS IN THE ST. CECILIA ROOM:

5:00 - 6:00 pm - Children's Choir
6:00 - 7:00 PM - Youth Choir
7:30 - 9:30 PM - Traditional Choir

Cantors
Open to those who feel comfortable leading the assembly in sung prayer and have a pleasant singing voice. The ability to read music is very helpful. The cantors rehearse as needed, and are scheduled at any of our five weekend masses.
The Children's Choir
Students from grades 4 through 8 are welcome to join this group. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn about our music and liturgy. Rehearsals are on Wednesday afternoons from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. This choir provides the music for the Sunday 9:00 a.m. Mass.

The Traditional Choir
The Traditional Choir provides the music for the 10:30 am, Mass as well as special liturgies throughout the year. This choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm in the St. Cecilia room.

Youth Choir
This choir is made up of high school students and young adults.
Singers, guitarists and other instrumentalists are encouraged to join this group.
Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. This choir provides music at the Sunday 6:30 Liturgy.

The Contemporary Ensemble
The Contemporary Ensemble provides music for the Saturday 5:30 p.m.
Liturgy and other special events throughout the year. Rehearsals are held on
Saturday afternoon at 4 pm.
